CarE-a-lot Meter!

A session taken from The Care Bear Movie:

Funshine Bear: Tenderheart! Tenderheart! The caring meter dropped two whole points! [everyone gasps]
Love-a-Lot-Bear: A lot of people must have suddenly just stopped caring. Kim: What could have caused that?
Tender Heart Bear: The same thing that caused the cloud quake. A boy named Nicholas is being taken over by an evil spirit.
Jason: An evil spirit?
Kim: So, what happens when the caring meter drops to zero?
Love-a-Lot-Bear: No one in the world will care anymore. [Secret Bear whispers to Kim]
Kim: And the end of Care-A-Lot?
Tender Heart Bear: I think that's exactly what the spirit has in mind!

How will you react if you happen to meet a friendly person? One who treats you sincerely...with much friendliness and care? How will you react to his or her kind treatment or gesture?..Will the first thought of suspicion comes to mind? or..would you accept it and befriend them in similar way?

Perhaps, it is one of human nature to be cynical and be suspicious of another person good will. But then again, aren’t we all being too paranoid to read into the simple gestures what others did for us simply out of their kind nature or generosity? Are we not being over a little unreasonable to look in too much over a simple gesture, a simple word, a simple action?
Why do humans be males or females like to think that when the other party of opposite sex begin to befriend, they can’t help but start to worry that he or she might have ulterior motive in doing so. Perhaps the most instantaneous idea they would get will be that the other party might be interested in them. Isn’t it laughable if everyone thinks in such nonsensical way? Is there no existence of any genuine friendship in this world? Haven’t anyone heard of platonic friendship between parties of opposite sex? I wonder why some people tend to make things into complicated matters when in facts things are as pure and as simple as learning ABC! Maybe to them their friendly meter must be super low or they must have taken down their care meter in the rush for worldly and superficial assess..!
