Warren Buffet ~

There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!

2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him..

5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.

6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules.

Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money.
Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.

7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.

8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.

9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.
His advice to young people :
"Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember:

A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money.
B. Live your life as simple as you are.
C. Don't do what others say, just listen to them, but do what makes you feel good.
D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which you feel comfortable.
E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on things that you really need.
F. After all it's your life, then why give others the chance to rule your life."

mastering change rather than allowing it to master you

I have learnt that ,...

sometimes things might not be what you wanted or expected them to be. And these things can come one after another in sequences to test your ability to handle them, to let you learn patience, let you pick up social skills to mingle among those whom you would rather stay away from if given choice! Perhaps, you cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your ATTITUDE toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you. ..one must not forget to relax in life and let loose of thyself in this fast paced stressful life....

Frequently Asked Questions About Christmas

Frequently Asked Questions About Christmas

Q: If Santa doesn't have to age, then why has he become old?
A: He only appears to be old. He's an undercover kid.

Q: How can a sleigh possibly fly through the air?
A: If you were being pulled by eight flying reindeer, wouldn't you fly too?

Q: Why do we wish people a "Merry Christmas" instead of a "Happy Christmas"? A: The two are about the same, but with "Merry Christmas" an extra twinkle is seen in the eyes.

Q: Why is a Christmas tree that has been chopped down called a "live Christmas tree?"
A: It's dead but doesn't know it, and yet it's having the time of its life .

Q: Why do we wrap our Christmas gifts with paper?
A: Because we like to see surprise and joy (real or kindly faked) in the recipients.

Q: How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?
A: Nowadays, only four angels can dance there.
Formerly there was no limit, but OSHA passed the Angel Safety Law recently, which also requires that the pin must be inspected twice each year for structural defects.

Q: How many gifts can Santa Claus's bag hold?
A: One less than infinity.
Why one less? Because there's a limit to everything.

Q: How could a star that is high in the sky lead the Wise Men to a tiny manger on the ground?
A: Wisely, toward the end of their journey they asked directions from someone on the road. Had they not been so wise, they might have missed the manger by several hundred miles. (That person on the road has never been identified.)

Q: Is there really a Mrs. Santa Claus?
A: The best way to know for sure is to ask Santa Claus next time you see him.

Q: Why do we hear so many bells at Christmas time?
A: Because so many people ring them.

Q: Why do so many people ring bells at Christmas time?
A: For the poor, for the joy, and because a bell can say what words can't say.

Q: What type of words can't be said?
A: The moment you wake up on Christmas morning, listen carefully. You may hear then what words can't say.

A man was praying to god.
He said, "God?"
God responded, "Yes?"
And the Guy said, "Can I ask a question?"
"Go right ahead", God said.
"God, what is a million years to you?"
God said, "A million years to me is only a second."
The man wondered.
Then he asked, "God, what is a million dollars worth to you?"
God said, "A million dollars to me is a penny."
So the man said, "God can I have a penny?"

when i m gone ~

Today, i got the chance to catch a burmese vcd with the title " ...."which i cant seem to remember..but the main casts were the ever-looking-boyish min maw kun and the innonce-looking-sweet ain dra kyaw zin.. about life..and death..which reminds me once again of how fleeting life can be. i might be gone anytime and when that time eventually come..i think..i would have something good, something memorable, something bad, something evil, something worthwhile ..a little of something enough to leave some memory of me behind.
i wish it would be this way..and when that day comes, i shall wear a smile and greet my death ...i shall..someday..

MEMORIES
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways
of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when life is done.

love is...

..

it's " Infatuation "

If you love some one because you think that you shouldn't leave him because others think that you shouldn't ...

then it's not love

..

it's "Compromise"

If you love some one because you have been kissed by him ...

then it's not love

..

it's "Inferiority complex"

If you love some one because you cannot leave him thinking that it would hurt his feelings ...

then it's not love

..

it's "Charity"

If you love some one because you share every thing with him ...

then it's not love

...

it's "Friendship"

BUT...

If you feel the pain of the other person more than him even when he is stable and you cry for him ...

that's "LOVE"

If you get attracted to other people but stay with him without any regrets...

that's "LOVE"

If you let him go knowing that he has to go but he doesn't want to ...

that's "LOVE"
is that so?................................
