gone with Bush..here comes Obama :D

04th NOv..2008:
Congratulation to MR BARACK OBAMA, the NEW elected PRESIDENT of U.S.A ..
In his victory speech...he mentioned that..''If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible ... tonight is your answer.''!
This is the very proof of nothing is impossible..so long there is faith, believe and of course with actions and more actions with almost everyone playing his/her part..
No doubt .."The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America--I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you--we as a people will get there..."

Really hope too that MYANMAR too can follow suits in this footstep..and somehow..someday..there will be CHANGES..there will be improvement ...there will be more ANSWER to our prayers!!

Night Festival, 18-19th July

Event: Night FestivalDate: 18th-19th July
Location: National Museum of Singapore
Contact: 63323659, nhb_nm_corpcomms@nhb.gov.sg

Description:

The National Musuem of Singapore's first ever Night Festival is set to dazzle with two weekends of spectacular theatrical performances, music, open air cinema and fun interactive actvities. The Night Festival opens on 18 July with internationally acclaimed Studio Festi from Italy. Known for their extrodinary staging of large-scale outdoor theatrical performances, including the recent 100 Day countdown to the Beijing Olympics at Macau, Studio Festi will enthrall with The Dancing Sky.
The museum garden and premises will be transformed into a surreal and magical playground with its site-specific masterpiece.Dancing Sky will be staged on both Friday & Saturday.
Making use of the expansive landscape, the sky is literally the limit as Studio Festi pulls out all the stops with soaring dancers, helium-balloon ‘planets’ and flying ships and pianos.

On Both Days

First Show: 9pm - 11pm
Second Show: 11:30pm - 1:30am
Highlights the Show:
Queen of the Tides
2 big transparent spheres, 6 metres of diameter, rolling around their own axis, go ahead very slowly in front of the Museum; a girl dances, suspended within the sphere.

Like the Moon
The moon floats between and flying dancers, graceful against the night sky of the Museum frontage.

Flying Piano
uspended in the air, light as melody, is the piano and the pianist as a lone performer dances atop the grand instrument.

The Progeny of Dreams
Daughters of the night, tall (3 metres above ground), mysterious and magnificent in their multi-colored costumes and mask, will loom over passers-by as they parade down Stamford Road.

The Harmony of the Spheres
Big flying spheres are lifted and with them, dancers take to the sky! They are brought higher and higher and the performance heightens as the spheres leap over and interact with the crowd.

In the Waters of the Sky
A big flying vessel with a female acrobat performs an extraordinary dance in mid-air.
Also available at SMU Green are and amazing Light Show, a Water screen & projection, an outdoor theatre Tablo Vivant, and two dances that will take your breath away with contrasting elements, the Water Dance and the Fire Dance.

Piggie in Wellington Boots!

we all know the Pussy-in-boots..story..
but then.. Behold...for something so cute you could not even have conceived of it. ..Piggie Cinder in wellington boots!
You can't get much happier than a pig in mud, or so we are being told. But when this little piggy was born in the farmyard, she showed a marked reluctance to join her siblings as they splashed around in the mud. While others are enjoying dishing in the dirt and mud, she stayed on the edge shaking. It is thought that she might have mysophobia - a fear of dirt.

TaDa...!!! Custom-made Stationary holder- wellington boots.. did the trick !
cute sia..., woaahaha.
The owners, Debbie and Andrew Keeble were at a loss, until they remembered the four miniature boots used as pen and pencil holders in their office. They slipped them on the piglet's feet - and into the mud she happily ploughed. . . The couple, who run the award-winning Debbie and Andrew's sausage company in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, named the young saddleback Cinders after Cinderella and her magical glass slippers. They are using her to front a campaign to give a better deal to pig farmers. It was mentioned by the owners that Cinders will be spared from the sausage factory as "She's more of a pet really now and she's going to live a very long and happy life," instead serving as a mascot for the Farm Crisis Network, which supports struggling farmers.

Mysophobia (mə′liz·mə′fō·bē·ə) — commonly known as germaphobia,
is a term used to describe a pathological or irrational fear of contact with dirt, to avoid contamination and germs. A person with this fear is often referred to as a “mysophobe.”

Poof with it goes for David Copperfield's World of Wonders!

With the approach of November, I was sadden by the fact that the American Magician, David Copperfield has cancelled or rather (quoted from his management stated in an e-mail to organisers) ""postponed indefinitely" his South-East Asia shows following sex allegations for his misconduct in the United States. The master illusionist scrapped a series of engagements in Southeast Asia as the FBI investigates allegations he sexually assaulted an unidentified Seattle woman. While Copperfield has yet to publicly address the investigation, his manager, Chesnoff has denied any wrongdoing by his client. Copperfield's accuser claimed the sexual misconduct occurred in July in the Bahamas, but she didn't file her complaint until she returned to the States, prompting the FBI to investigate. The bureau's Seattle office has declined to comment on the specifics of the case.

Well, whatever it is, such a pity it is to not being able to catch him in action.

I was about to buy the highly in demand tickets but perhaps by sheer luck, the news on his shows being cancelled were announced. I hope that someday at sometime I could still catch it with the one I plan to do so..hopefully..crossing fingers!
