EPL trophy will be here on Monday (toDaY!) 090608 from 10 am to 4pm.. at Civic Plaza, Ngee Ann City...every $5 can take pic with trophy.. For $40 donation, photo with Trophy + AIA Movie Card * + a chance to win a trip to watch Manchester United playing LIVE at Old Trafford and other Manchester United merchandise. (1st 200 donations only)! ps: donation is for the victims of the China Earthquake!

with metta...happy Vesak day!

Vesak Day, being one of the most important days in the Buddhist calendar is celebrated world wide. It is marked with great ceremonial ritual, commemorates the birth and enlightenment of Buddha and his entry into Nirvana. Yet, even as this significant event is being celebrated by Buddhists throughout the world, we remember with deep sorrow those who have been devastated by recent natural disasters – the tropical cyclone Nargis in Myanmar and the earthquake in Sichuan, China. Let us help alleviate the plight of the suffering, perhaps with a simple act of donation or prayer, or even a kind word...

There will be floral float displays made with fresh cut flowers parade along the beach. And, many other interesting features that include:
Traveller’s Garden
showcasing over 40 types of spring flowers from America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Learning Journey
where you can learn about the life cycle of a butterfly in a fun, interactive and entertaining way;
Language of Love
translates into a floral representation of the various forms of love, coinciding with Valentine’s Day;
Giant Floral
Displays will bring the table-top arrangements to giant proportions with displays of over 2.5 metres high;
The Rats Reunion
welcomes the Year of the Rat with a selection of Rat sculptures to symbolise wisdom, abundance and growth in the Spring season.
